We are pleased to welcome back to this year’s Welshpool weekend 3 original cast members as pictured from the hit TV series “Allo Allo”.
Throughout the weekend they will be hosting Q&A sessions, signing autographs etc.

THE RONNIES

Appearing on main stage on Sunday 28th September

The Ronnies are a vocal harmony group from Shropshire, specialising in the sounds of the 1940s. Inspired by the great Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters, The Ronnies perform classic songs such as; In the Mood, Route 66, Don't Fence Me In and Accentuate the Positive at events all over the country.

JEEP JOHNSON

Always a popular attraction at Welshpool, Jeep will be performing at numerous sites in and around the town, wherever he can find a spot and drum up an audience.

MOONLIGHT SERENADE

Appearing Sunday 29th September

Moonlight Serenade (Glenn Miller Tribute), Band Of Brothers. Dressed in GI uniforms along with suitable & appropriate props. Relive with Moonlight Serenade the golden era of The Glenn Miller Big Band sound, creating a true 1940's ambiance to put you "In The Mood".

AVA EVERGREEN

Vintage Singer based in Shropshire. 1940's Swing, Jazz, Old Hollywood and War time Singalongs.

KITTY LAMARE

With an extensive vintage song catalogue and a large dash of sauce, Kitty LaMare is the sweetheart all the forces adore! Kitty will be singing as part of the Blitz Ball alongside the Ashby Little Big Band.

COLIN BOURDIEC

Appearing all weekend – Puzzle Square Saturday, Main Street Sunday

Colin Bourdiec, UK's foremost George Formby Impersonator and ENSAtainer performing on original 1930 ukes, Gibson and Ludwigs. Reliving the music of George Formby and WW2 Variety artists through ENSA in authentic uniforms to compliment fellow re-enactors.

BLITZ DANCERS

The Blitz Dancers are husband and wife team Andrew & Sandra Robinson, they will bring a dash of style and pizzazz to any party or event, playing an entertaining and authentic mix of 1930s or 1940s dance music and providing a dazzling display of vintage dance.

Miss LILY LOVEJOY

Appearing on Saturday 27th September.

A fantastic Performer who brings back the sounds of the 40’s in such a very special way.

KEVIN MAC

Appearing at the Raven Inn, Saturday 27th September

Transporting you back to the 1940's with his repertoire of catchy and nostalgic numbers!

KNIGHTON SILVER BAND

Knighton Silver Band is a friendly community band that welcomes players from far and wide. We play a variety of music to suit varied venues and audiences from carnivals to concerts halls. The band will lead the procession from the Cross at 11am, re-enactors wishing to take part should assemble in front of the Royal Oak Hotel at 10.50am. The band will then give 2 x 30 min performances up stairs in the Town Hall at 12noon and 1pm.

HARMONY BELLES

Appearing on Saturday 27th September.

Donna, Lara, and Simone – are a vintage vocal trio based in North Wales, singing in close harmony since 2023. Long-standing friends and performers, the Belles first met through local theatre and have been enjoying entertaining audiences together ever since. With a shared love for all things vintage, they bring the timeless charm of 1940s music to life with style, sparkle, and impeccable harmony.

BERTIE BLIGHTY

Appearing on Saturday 27th at The Baytree from 7pm and Sunday 28th at The Raven Inn from 2pm. Based in Shropshire, GI Jones Singing Hits of the 40s.

Kitten Von Mew

Appearing on Saturday 27th September.

Kitten Von Mew is a renowned vintage singer from Stratford-upon-Avon, specialising in the 1940’s to early 60’s rock and roll! In the past, she has entertained celebrities in the Goodwood Revival VIP area, to veterans on a steam train to Berlin. With her animated performances and lively singing, Kitten will soon get you up on your feet and dancing.

Jayne Darling

Appearing Sunday 28th September.

Jayne Darling, a seasoned and glamorous singer, specialises in 1940s and vintage entertainment for various special occasions. With an extensive repertoire spanning the 1920s to the 1950s, Jayne covers everything from Vera Lynn classics to jazz, swing, and musical theatre.

Please note during the day some vehicles will start up, or weapons on them will be demonstrated. These can be noisy so please be aware!

CORN EXCHANGE (GROUND FLOOR OF TOWN HALL)
for homemade cakes, teas & coffees plus vintage stalls, model display etc. Please visit us as this is were we make our money over the weekend to keep the event going!

RE-ENACTORS & ENTERTAINERS

As you walk around the town, you will be captivated by Re-Enactors and Entertainers in period costume, vintage vehicle displays, classic cars pre 1950, trade stands, craft stalls, music and dancing. Take a trip on a vintage bus, learn about life in the 1940s with living history displays & exhibitions. Also special activities for children.

ALL ABOARD

WELSHPOOL & LLANFAIR LIGHT RAILWAY
This year there will be displays at the station at Raven Square including encampments, aero engine, field kitchen & more!
